ABOUT ME!
Hi my name is Ellie and i'm the owner of Ellie's Happy Tails.
I grew up in a small town in Somerset surrounded by the countryside and wildlife, which really started my passion for animals and the outdoors. I studied Animal management for 3 years in college, along with gaining experience in a veterinary practice and groomers. After college i progressed onto working as a client care adviser for 2 years in my local veterinary practice, where i gained knowledge, confidence and the ability to work with a wide range of animals, some of which with different behavioural levels. My love and passion for animal health, well-being and mental stimulation has only grown and with this, i started Ellie's Happy Tails. A "go to" for everything natural, free from rawhide, nothing but the best treats. Along with Feeders, Toys and Walking Equipment that will be sure to make your furry friends happy!
THE REASON
There are many reasons for opening Ellie's Happy Tails. From working in a veterinary practice for 2 years and coming to the understanding that owners need a "go to" all natural, free from rawhide, everything pet shop, to helping educate owner on mental stimulation and how this helps not only strengthen their bond with their pets, but also the benefits that come with it. Also my own personal reasons for wanting "more in life". For not wanting the standard 9-5 job, to create something for myself and my future and for Doug. My passion for animal health, well-being and mental stimulation go beyond anything and i'm so excited to be sharing it with you all.

THE START
I opened Ellie's Happy Tails in July 2023 as a Pet Services Business, walking dogs and offering pet visits. I had an incredible response and i'm so grateful for how fast the business has scaled. With this, it became apparent that owners weren't aware of how beneficial mental stimulation and natural treats can be for their pets, but also the lack of places in which they could go to get this.
I then opened E.H.T pet shop in September 2023 and again had the most amazing response. Starting off with only 30 products, to now having over 300 products on the website, its just CRAZY!
THE JOURNEY
The journey has been amazing so far and i'm super excited to see where it goes.
Starting in July of 2023 part time, to going full-time only 9 months later, the scale of the business in a short amount of time has been overwhelming and i couldn't be more grateful for your support! We started off with only 30 products on the website to now having over 300 products, all from Natural Treats, Feeders, Walking Equipment and Toys in our very own designed Ellie's Happy Tails packaging.
We've have had so many incredible opportunities, from markets and events, stocking in local shops, to even speaking in local schools and colleges.

Since opening, we have attended over 25 local markets and events and of course Doug cames along too! Its been so fun meeting you all in person, recommending some fan favourites or even giving out health care advice and training. Saying that, the BEST part is meeting all of your furry friends!
We have fulfilled over 1,500 orders all over the UK, which is incredible! In 48 hours selling fulfilling over 150 order! We are so grateful for every order that comes through. Each order is carefully selected, packaged with love, tied with twine and either hand delivered by myself or shipped if not locally.
We have had some incredible opportunities to date, one of them is being asked to stock E.H.T goods in some local shops. Now more furry friends can enjoy our 100% natural, mouth-watering Treats, Feeders and more.
With all the amazing opportunities to date, this has got to be the best one yet! It definitely hit my heart being asked to return back to my old college i use to attend and do a talk on opening a successful pet services business. Ellie's Happy Tails is my heart and I love working animals, but i also have a passion to educate and teach the younger generation. I do hope to expand and teach kids to follow their dreams and if that's to open their own business, to do so!
ROKiT Weston Beach Race 2024
We were taken back when asked to attend the 2024 ROKiT Weston Beach Race. A UK wide event with an estimated 100,000 people attending over 3 days, it was our BIGGEST event to date and the stand was jam packed. We met so many incredible people and their furry friends, looking to grab some of our best sellers, like our natural trotters, ears and necks. Some people even popped over to grab some seasonal Halloween and Christmas items.
It was major exposure for our small business and has really helped scale it up to new strengths. We cannot thank you enough!
I, as a one woman band, roped in some help for this event and as you can see by the photos, we had too much fun!
We got the pleasure of stocking E.H.T products at Neads Coffee Hut located along Clevedon seafront.
This has been an incredible opportunity for us and to find out we SOLD OUT within a day of stocking was amazing to hear. I couldn't be more thankful for the love and support, i truly feel overwhelmed with your kindness. We are constantly stocking up to ensure all furry friends can enjoy our mouthwatering treats, while enjoying a lovely hot drink and sweet treat from the Hut.
Ellie's Happy Tails stocked at a local dog friendly cafe. Carriages Cafe is located in the heart of Tickenham (Somerset) A lovely family run, cozy, loving cafe, providing hearty foods! I've been here too many times and it is my "go to" place to catch up with family. So to be asked to be a part of their incredible place was a pleasure.
Ellie's Happy Tails worked and collaborated with some amazing TikTok creators.
Graciesdogwalkingservices - Felt amazing to have done a collaboration with Grace. She is someone i have been following for a while and adore so much. Not only for her successful dog walking business but her light, energy and pureness.
TheDogLady- Well what can i say! This was an honour! I have personally been following Olivia since DAY DOT! She is truly one amazing lady and someone i admire very much. She is the main reason i took the leap into the Pet services industry and now... I've never looked back!
ChloesDogServices - Chloe is one incredible human, so when she agreed, i couldn't be more excited. I not only adore Chloe for her energy and light but she is so down to earth! She has been someone i have loved watching grow!
I have made some incredible friendships and i couldn't be more thankful!
We have grown massively on all our social media platforms. From going viral on Tiktok, Making new friends on Instagram, and circling Facebook with the incredible news of stocking in local shops and cafes. Ellie Happy Tails is definitely making a name for itself and that's all thanks to YOU!
Ending 2024, Ellie's Happy Tails has been nominated for the 2025 ASA (Animal Star Awards) southern region award. I'm absolutely speechless!
I received an incredible email from the ASA organisation to say that i've been nominated for an award! The organisation gives recognition to animals and humans alike for the extraordinary thing that they do. So to be nominated is breath taking!
